Travel in Tibet : A Tibet trip is a once in a lifetime event for most travelers. Since it is ruled by China, travel to Tibet is subject to regulations and fees set by the Chinese Government, and itineraries must be coordinted with the flight schedule in and out of Lhasa on Tuesdays and Saturdays . A minimum group of 5 (2, and sometimes 4) people is needed for travel to Tibet, but we do our best to try to coordinate with other travelers if you are a single or small number to issue Visa.

The price of a Tibet tour depends on the length of the trip, type of transportation and level of accommodations used. Outside of Lhasa it's all guest house type (slected Government running hotel also available), but there is a choice in Lhasa. You can go "budget style" in Lhasa and stay in a Tibetan style guest house near the center of the city, but the facilities are quite basic. Most tour packages stay at the Holiday Inn, (Hotel Tibet, Hotel Himalaya or similar standard, ) which is nicer, farther from the old city.

The prices quoted must of the medium budget trips are based on using 2 or 3 star hotels in Nepal and the medium budget hotels or best guest houses available in Tibet.
